Nursing Assistant Exam Prep Class ↓
Interested in becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (Nurse Aide)? You should try our Nurse Aide Training Program. We have been asked to offer this class before, but wanted to wait until we had everything perfect before beginning. We have great instructors, we have a great curriculum, and we even have a great price. $599 pays for the 75 hour class, the certification exam fee, and all the lab fees and supplies. There are no hidden costs, no taxes, nothing extra.
So how does it work? It’s really pretty easy to get enrolled. Some of the details:
When: The class is 75 hours of instruction broken into either 10 or 12 classes depending on if you take it day or night. The specific day/night will depend on your class location (see "schedule"). We will help you sign up for your state exam, (including paying the exam fee), and you should be able to test almost immediately after the class is over.
Where: This class is currently offered only in our Austin location. Click on the "schedule “ for location, dates and times. Keep checking though; we may offer it at other locations in the future.
What’s covered? You can check out the "Course Catalog" for specifics, but we cover everything you need to successfully complete the exam and perform as an entry level Nurse Aide. There will be lots of hand on experiences, both in the classroom and in a real nursing home. There will always be an LVN or RN there to guide you.
Who can take the class? In order to take the state certification exam, you must have a clean background, have a valid government issued picture ID, valid SSN Card, and have completed at least 8th grade. You must be at least 16 years old. There is also a test for TB, which will be given on the first day of class, and the result must be negative. You must also take, or have taken CPR and First Aid, either through us or someone else.
Why should you take the class? The demand for Nurse Aides is high and climbing. Nurse Aides can expect good pay, and flexible working hours are available. If you like to take care of people, and want a job which is rewarding, this may be the field for you. The look of happiness on the face of your resident when they see you walk in their door is something you will not experience in just any average “job”.
How do I enroll? This is the easiest part of all. Fill out the application form below. If you have a debit or credit card, you can call us at one of our phone numbers anytime. If you wish to pay in person, you can drop by our office. A $100 can be provided to hold your spot in the class, with the balance ($499) due the first day. Be careful though! Please do not pay with a personal check.
So what are you waiting for? Give us a call if you want more information or would like to sign up. Remember, the small class size (12 students max in any given class) limits the available seating.
